Basis Signal Optimization for N-Continuous OFDM
A novel basis signal optimization method is proposed for interference reduction in the N-continuous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) system. Compared to conventional NC-OFDM, the proposed scheme is capable of improving the transmission performance while maintaining the identical sidelobe suppression performance imposed with the aid of two groups of basis signals assisted by the linear combination form. Our performance results demonstrate that with a moderate complexity overhead, the proposed scheme is capable of striking a better tradeoff among the bit error rate (BER), complexity, and sidelobe suppression performances compared to the conventional counterpart.
